LMAO #1:
Eunhyuk: It had been said that in some website’s research, for “The Singer I Most Want to Brew Pomelo Tea for” Kyuhyun has won the overwhelming first place… really speechless.
Leeteuk: Lately, websites have been coming up with these weird polls. It’s still okay to talk about who you want to go on a vacation with, but why are there these kind of polls such as brewing Pomelo tea.
Eunhyuk: And why would they want to brew Pomelo tea for Kyuhyun.

LMAO #2:

for a more focused view. )

Even 14 hours behind and 2398723 miles away, I am still in love with this group ♥
catskilt: (highly approved)

Donghae, I do not approve of your hair, they obviously made a mistake with the dye.
Heechul, I...do approve of your hair, very much *___*
Teuk, your hair never changes, so.
Hyuk, you could be alongside Nic Tse in a 1990s HK gangster film.

I am sort of struggling to breathe. That introduction is the single most perfect thing ever. These guys, why are they like this?

Also, I kind of love how the intro is basically saying: STEP ASIDE BITCHES, THIS IS SUPER JUNIOR. YOU WILL LOOK AT US. AND YOU WILL WORSHIP US.

Me: ...Okay! :D /whipped

Edited to add:

So SHINee's Lucifer performance with f(x) in the SBS Gayo Daejun was epic to the most epic degree. Intense and sexy and passionate and if it does not blow your mind, your mind must be made of steel or something.

SHINee, you may still be babies but hell you have more boss on stage than groups twice as seasoned. This is one of the best performances I've seen since entering Asian idol fandom. (and how pretty is Victoria?)

Member ai at its absolute best ♥

A group that would apologise to its fans repeatedly for not winning a popularity award. A group that would go over to comfort its crying fans. idek. Why are they like this? As [livejournal.com profile] ky_rin and I agreed today, this fandom just pulls you in and makes you invest yourself in them so much. They're just so loving and caring and considerate of their fans, you would think it was all an act except it isn't.

And then Heechul hugging Eunhyuk and comforting Ryeowook is so incredibly sweet ide :| (regardless of the fact that this is the first time I've ever seen Heechul being hyung-like towards Hyuk).

They didn't win the Daesang, which made everyone into a sad emotional mess for about 24 hours, but hey, Suju has shown time and again that they can pick themselves up after any setback and come back better than ever. So this is what they're going to do! And they're going to continue being their awesome, lovable, respectful, humble (at important times, that is) selves. And they're going to continue their big group huggles and smiling faces and wide open palms and silly antics (even on CNN!) and multi-coloured hair. They're going to continue wearing their rippable cleavage-showing shirts and their spiffy suits and their out of the world accessories and their sunglasses and beanies and wifebeaters, and they're going to fight exhaustion to be the best that they can be for us, and they're going to continue putting on concerts that make even journalists stand up and wave blue lightsticks.

And I'm going to remain with the thousands of fans supporting them because this group is just fantastic, no matter how many Daesangs they might or might not win. ♥

So I'm finally back from Nanjing and somewhat ready to make a concert report, though warnings in advance that my memory is sketchy and mixed up and I did not, horrors, recognise many of the songs in the SS3 set list. Trawling through the labelled fancams for the Beijing concert sort of helped in identifying some of the encore songs but does not help make me feel any better about not recognising so many songs (the set list for SS3 is so weird, okay?).

And with this, I commence the crazy Nanjing concert report of doom. )

Eunhyuk: "EunHae is real."

Hyuk, tell us something we don't know. XD

GDI I love my OTP.

Also, this amazingly well-done fan video:

Happy 5th anniversary to the beautiful talented boys of Super Junior who make us cry and laugh and mock and love ♥ May you go on and on to a 10th anniversary!
catskilt: (donghae says heart)
Oh god I have to glee about this I have to glee about this I have to glee about this.

Not since Don't Don have I loved a Super Junior song so fucking much. I have this big soft spot for trot music, also possibly known as getai or enka, because even though it's outdated and wacky and out there and ridiculous IT'S SO NOSTALGIC AND KARAOKE-Y AND AWESOME. This brings me right back to the 1980s or 60s or even the 30s with songs like 夜上海! I think I might love this even more than the always epicly epic Rokkugo, THIS IS HOW MUCH I LOVE TOK TOK TOK. Teuk has such a potentially glittery career as a trot singer, LMAO.

And then I scour around for fancams and find this and I swear I'm almost weeping tears of joy because Donghae is doing the whole trot thing and it's just fantastic. At risk of offending SJ-M stans, I want Donghae in SJ-T ;_;

I think this is possibly the reason why SJ-T is my favourite subgroup. I do actually like this type of music XD

Suju's Saturday night schedule for the next 5 weeks-

Saturday, 8/14 – 8/15 Super Show 3 in Seoul
Saturday, 8/21 – 2010 SMTOWN Concert in Seoul
Saturday, 8/28 – Super Show 3 in Qingdao, China
Saturday, 9/4 – 2010 SMTOWN Concert in L.A
Saturday, 9/11 – 2010 SMTOWN Concert in Shanghai

Four cities, five concerts, two timezones and thousands of miles in slightly over a month, in addition to their regular radio programmes, variety show appearances, and early morning dance/gym sessions on weekdays. This is so crazy. I foresee more hospital IV drips D:

And then a rumour about Kibum coming back to the group? I find that really hard to believe :| SJ's not really doing group activities anymore except the concerts, unless of course they're starting their own show, if which I will probably go into hysterics of joy and spam twitter about a hundred times within an hour. Have been binging on Strong Heart, KBS Nocturnal and Star King and just. SJ fully lives up to their 'kings of variety' reputation. I really, really want them to be the main guests on a show without girl groups or 20398 MCees, just them doing their own thing and being silly and witty and hilarious and ironic and making fun of each other all over the place. And um, I want to full body cuddle Donghae because he's probably the most adorable thing ever to breathe oxygen. Somewhat.

Speaking of which, if you haven't already, do check out the Suju as animals drabble!fest (a.k.a. I say mew and you say moo) that I started half a week ago. Squeals and 'aww's' over the cute in simply everything are guaranteed. You know you want to read Suju being cows and puppies and chickadees and penguins and hamsters :D

Meeting [livejournal.com profile] teexsaurus, [livejournal.com profile] amaelamin_ and [livejournal.com profile] thundersquall tomorrow for some heart to heart. Looking forward to it very much ♥

Three weeks left of work. *__* I swear once it's all over I'm going to sack out at the airport for days and just a head's up to anyone who might want to find me, go to Starbucks at T2, I'll be there.

And I love you so, Hyukjae ♥

One of these days I'm going to picspam EunHae in a post hopefully as epic as the Pin post that [livejournal.com profile] myxstorie linked.
It's not just about the dorkery or the hot or the talent or the polish.

Eeteuk: "We have been together for 10 years. We love and forgive one another like we’re a family."

It's the beauty of their bond ♥
catskilt: (shindong :D)

Oversized jackets and outdated singing and cartwheels and perfectly synchronised dancing and exaggerated facial expressions and Tablo/Mithra's silly comments in the background.

I will never stop smiling at this bright, beautiful, adorable performance. It's the kind of thing you want to watch after a long, soul-draining day ♥
Back to the k-pop meme after stressing it out over NEWS :)

I'm doing five categories today! Because there are two categories wherein I have no input.

Day 5: Your favorite k-pop song from your favorite guy group

Individually, it's Kyuhyun's 7 Years of Love, and unofficially, it's their Sukira cover of Butterfly Graveyard. But! :D

Because it is fierce and absolutely mind-blowingly stunning.

Honorable mentions to: Heartquake, Boom Boom, Mirror, Neorago.

four more categories, I am productive, quite. )
I have decided to do the 30-day k-pop meme and hopefully the result will turn out more successful than the last 30-day meme :| In order to make it more successful, I shall do more than one category per day!

But before that, things that I've been up to since the last time I updated:

- Still looking for a job. I'm waiting for one employment agency to get back to me about a potential Marketing Communications job, and I am really hoping they will get back to me :|

- Have been amused at [livejournal.com profile] meiface's adoption of the World Cup. Pretty soon she'll know more about football than me. I think she already knows more of the current players. I bet most of you didn't know I used to be a huge football fan :D

- Speaking of the World Cup, S.Korea vs Argentina took the joy out of life for about half an hour D:

- Have finished Geisha, A Life. It is as different from Memoirs of a Geisha as can be imagined. No wonder Iwasaki threw a bitch fit at Golden :|

- Have basically been bored out of my mind. I've spent a couple of days at the airport with [livejournal.com profile] thundersquall, have had any amount of deep profound discussion/fangirling with [livejournal.com profile] pregnantcigar, have met friends for lunch,...and that is it O.o I've been bumming around at home the rest of the time and I am getting tired of it.

...Onwards to the meme!

four categories in one day is the road to successful completion of meme. )

catskilt: (shindong :D)

The choreography is meh but holy fuck they look so good. THEY LOOK SO GOOD A;LSDKASLK

AM STILL THINKING OF WAYS TO MOLEST HYUK'S MOUTH IN THE APPROPRIATE WAY IT NEEDS TO BE MOLESTED. AFTER THAT, I'LL GET ON TO DONGHAE'S ARMS. Am also exploding slowly but surely from the hip thrusts. GDI they are so deliberate and intended to impregnate and ;aldskjlkj Hyuk knows how to work those hips, okay. He is adept at it. He is expert.

Shindong. I love Shindong's part towards the end and everything about Shindong in this video. And Kyuhyun. I am so stoked that he is in the dance break. Wook has the most gorgeous cheekbones ever and it CONTOURS with the swinging lamp, lmao. There isn't enough Sungmin but whatever Sungmin I can see is gorgeous.

I have to admit that watching it in LQ for the first time did absolutely nothing for me but I am so, so much happier with the HD. See, rule of life: It's much easier to fangirl when you can see them properly in all their unf :D

I shall continue obsessively replaying the hip thrusts and dance break. On that note, am so happy that they included a dance break because it lifts up the meh of the general choreography.

Also have to throw in a word about how we were all freaking out at 11am KST when the video didn't come out. This is probably the first time I've ever sat around and waited for a stupid music video to be released, lmfao.
catskilt: (heechul is fabulous)

Aside from the massive fangirling over OH MY GODDDD THEY'RE ALMOST BACK I am so extremely amused at K-pop's way of handling 'comebacks'.

In JE, what we get as teasers are email notifications from CD Japan, tiny little single covers from the official site and then the song played on a radio show a couple of days before the official PV and performance on Music Station.

In K-pop. Or at least SME. OR Super Junior, because they're apparently too big to have actual MV/song teasers, we get members hinting about the new album three months in advance. Tons of rumours flying around about their new concept (zombies? vampires? pastry chefs?). Photos from a stylist that don't reveal too much. Fanclubs banding together to donate money for 'food and PR support'. Fan-made trailers. Suju trending on twitter about 298 times. Then a couple of official pictures released showing their va-va-voom new image. THEN a teaser that says NOTHING but throws shadows everywhere to the sound of epic movie-trailer-ish background music. Ending off with a deep voice saying "Super Junior. ComeBAAAAAAAAACK." (I'm going to be imitating this for months). A specific date and time set for the release of the new song: 10 May, 10am.

Oh, K-pop. It's like watching a summer blockbuster and afternoon soap opera all rolled into one.

And I kind of like how it's just. Super Junior - The Fourth Album. LMAO. We don't need names for our albums, bitches. (Actually, there are names, only nobody ever notices because, you know. We don't need names bitches!!)

I should stop making fun of it. I love this fandom for all its drama, really ♥ I will love it even more if they'll stop blocking Hyukjae's face out.

...Also, I love how Donghae, Heechul and Teuk are tweeting back and forth. It reminds me of the JE Twitter fic that [livejournal.com profile] gothicauthor and I wrote except that the guys are different. ad;slkj keep tweeting away, lovelies :D
catskilt: (highly approved)
Amazingly professional fan-made trailer for Suju's upcoming 4th album.

Step aside folks, Suprah Juniah's coming back.
